Need crew - or are you interested in getting a ride? Then please email us and we will add you to our crew register. 21 Apr We are not experienced racers but are competent crew. We are keen to crew competitively and to learn from any Swallow skippers that are kind enough to take us on. Our sailing experience: Torrie (Victoria Howard) has had a lifetime handling engined boats owned by her father in Malta and on the Thames but only recently learned dinghy sailing at Queen Mary's Sailing Centre, Mddx. I (Dudley Howard) have been sailing on lasers and nationals at the Ranelagh Sailing Club on the Thames at Putney for 5 years. I had not sailed properly before that despite qualifying as an Able Seaman at St. Vincent, Portsmouth, in 1963! In 2005, we both of us qualified as RYA Day Skippers in order to join sailing flotillas in the Mediterranean for our summer holidays. We've sailed increasingly confidently in Gibraltar/Cadiz/Ceuta, Croatia and Turkey. This coming August, we're bareboating from Skiathos in a 39-footer with friends.
