    Goodness me! I'd forgotten what fun sailing is- perfect Wednesday evening racing in about 15 knots of wind dropping slowly with twelve, thirteen, fourteen boats out - I lost count.     01 August 2020: Family Fun Sailing Week One

    With the ongoing public health crisis this years Itchenor Sailing Club Junior Fortnight was sadly cancelled however a reformatted, socially distant, family crew only Junior Fun Week 1 was held 27-31 July. In total 28 Mirror Dinghies took part, with 22 races held. The week began with a novel Zoom briefing on Sunday night for parents and competitors to instil the constraints and privilege that the week was operating under, in particular

    26 July: Launch of our new quad sculling boat

    On Sunday 26th July Itchenor members gathered for the launch party of our new and very special boat. She was named "Quadrille" by Clare Blevins to the delighted applause of Itchenor members. Quadrille is a coastal quad sculling boat with sliding seats for a crew of 4 plus cox. She is 10.7 metres long and weighs 150 kilos, so 4-6 people should be able to lift her.

  • Sunday 5th July Racing Cancelled

    In light of the high winds that are forecast for today, we have taken the decision to cancel Sundays Racing. The Club will be running a ferry service between 10:00 - 14:00 and a club support rib will be on the hammerhead for any dinghy sailors wishing to go out.
