An opportunity to get out on the water every Friday evening for fun sailing in Optimist Dinghies, starting at the end of April!
Sessions are aimed at children who need to build confidence handling a dinghy. It will focus on boat handling basics and most importantly, FUN WITH FRIENDS!
Parents will need to be available to help children rig, launch and recover.
Children should be approx. 8-12 years old and have some basic sailing experience (e.g., RYA L1/ 2- or competent enough to tack and gybe independently). If you are unsure, please ask Sailing Manager Ryan.
There are 6 club Oppies which can be reserved to use as you book below, or bring your own!
Children need to be rigged and ready to launch at 18:00 for approximately 90 minutes on the water.
Please book your place online (whether using a club boat or your own- numbers are limited) below.
Don't forget to book online here if you'd like to stay for supper!
