A Warm Welcome to All Visitors
Whether you're a sailor arriving from near or far, a guest joining friends or family, or simply here to enjoy the atmosphere and views, were delighted to welcome you to Itchenor Sailing Club.
We hope you enjoy all that our beautiful Club has to offer. Visitors are welcome to make use of our facilities for up to seven days (longer stays may be arranged for extended events). When you arrive, please sign the Visitors' Book on the bar.
Please note: UK-based yachtsmen should be members of an RYA-recognised club or association.
Arriving by Sea
Visitors are welcome to come alongside our hammerhead jetty for up to 2 hours to visit the Club and make use of the facilities, but please note we cannot allow overnight stays on our jetty.
Visitor buoys, walk ashore/mid-stream pontoon berths and overnight stays are available from the Chichester Harbour Conservancy - for more information please visit their website.
Arriving by Road
Directions:
From the A27 Chichester Bypass, take the A286 exit signposted Bracklesham and The Witterings. Continue for approximately 4.6 miles until you reach the mini roundabout at Birdham.
Take the B2179 towards West Wittering, then after about half a mile, turn right towards Itchenor. Follow the road to the end (around 1.2 miles) to reach Itchenor village.
The entrance to Club Lane, a private lane leading to Itchenor Sailing Club, is on the right-hand side, directly opposite The Ship Inn.
Access & Parking:
Please park in the Public Car Park on the left-hand side as you approach The Ship Inn. This car park also accommodates trailers.
Club Lane is private property, and vehicles are not permitted. The Club has pedestrian access only.

Sailing dinghies may be wheeled down Club Lane by hand only.

The staging gate has a combination lock—please visit the Club Office to obtain the code.
Parking Rates at Chichester Harbour Conservancy Car Park - please note you must pay each time you leave
Trailers & RIBs:
After unloading, road trailers must not be left on the staging or in the private road opposite The Ship Inn.
Trailers may be parked either in the trailer park on the public hard, or in the Public Car Park.
Please note: Road trailers are not permitted on the Club staging at any time.
RIBs are not permitted on the staging and may not be launched or moored at the Club without prior approval. If you wish to bring a RIB, please contact the Sailing Manager in advance to discuss arrangements.

Sailing activities
All competitors and all visitors must comply with the safety, warning notices and conditions in the club rules, notices of race and in the sailing instructions. In particular, competitors when afloat and children under 12 on the harbour side of the wall shall wear adequate personal buoyancy as stipulated, please.
Rallies:
The Club has become well-known for its excellent dining facilities and welcomes rallies from other recognised clubs and associations. Please contact the office for bookings and availability.
The Clubhouse:
You are welcomed to join us in our Clubhouse. Please just make yourself known to the Office or House Team on arrival. For more information on our opening times and the bar menu, please see our Clubhouse, Bar and Buttery page
Club Office:
If you need us, the Club Office is reached via the stairs of the Members Building next to the front lawn. Our door is always open and we will be pleased to provide further information about the Club, take entries for open meetings, bookings for stage berths, meals and accommodation etc.

Opening Hours, November-March: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Accommodation:
The Club has 16 bedrooms including doubles, twins, a family room and a handful of double ensuite's which can all be booked in advance via the office. For further information please see our accommodation page or contact the office.
Children:
Children are always welcome at the Club however, those under 12 are not allowed in the bar after 7 p.m. We ask that children under 12 are under the continuous personal supervision of a responsible adult . All children under 12 on the harbour side of the wall must wear personal buoyancy, for their own safety.
Dogs:
We're sorry that dogs, other than guide dogs, are not allowed in the Clubhouse during the sailing season. They may pass across the lawn on a lead and are welcome on the harbour side of the wall but must please be kept on a lead and accompanied by their owner at all times.
Valuables:
Visitors are strongly advised not to leave valuables unattended in the changing rooms. There are lockers outside the Gents changing room and inside the Ladies changing room which can be used for small personal effects. Please note that there is a charge to replace lost locker keys.
