Brimming with community spirit, Itchenor May Week 2026 delivered a full slate of sailing and socials!
The week kicked off on Saturday 23 rd May with a 420 trip to the Isle of Wight organised by Lucinda Leaver and the Transit Committee. The team set out from Itchenor, escorted by parents in ribs, for a true Swallows and Amazons-style adventure. Ilcas, Toppers, Mirrors and Teras trained on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Itchenor Sailors shine in Fifth Annual Chichester Harbour Series Finale
Glamour conditions, record numbers and keen sailors made for a spectacular finale to the 2025/2026 Chichester Harbour Series. Boats departed Saturday morning from Bosham, Hayling Island and Itchenor, converging on the Hayling Island Committee Boat for two days of brilliant racing. Whether veterans or first-timers, every competitor brought the right spirit—and collaboration among Harbour clubs once again delivered a lively event. A slight delay to the opening race only heightened the anticipation.

420 Youth Nationals 2026
Fourteen Itchenor sailors competed in the Youth Nationals 7-10 April at HISC in the 420 class. Day one saw sunshine and a 20-25 kts of south-easterly breeze together with a big swell rolling in. These testing conditions were clearly enjoyed by Itchenor, with Ed leading overnight, Lucas in 2 nd and Felix and Lucy 8 th . 420 Winter Championship 2026 at Draycote Water Sailing Club
