  • Cowes Classic Week - success for Itchenor!

    Congratulations to Roger Yeoman and team in X50 for winning Classics Week with 3 firsts, 1 second, and 2 thirds giving them a nett 11 points!  They beat Ben McGrane into second place who scored 15 points Also Nick Andrews and team in X177 came 6th at his first time at Classics with a 2nd place on the first day, and David Palmer and team in X188 came 7th. Well done everyone!! See

    ISC/LCSC Summer BBQ - Saturday 29.6.2024

    The National Swallow Championships 2024.

    With last year's 75th Anniversary Championships lost due to strong winds, the National Swallow Fleet feared that the same might happen this year, but instead the 2024 Championships, hosted this year by Itchenor Sailing Club, will go down as one of the most memorable. Saturday, the day of the RTI race, was a no-go for 26 foot keelboats however seaworthy they may be, but on Sunday, a brave but slightly diminished fleet

    The PropSail Sailing Regatta

    Laura Hantrais, studying Mechanical and Engineering at Exeter University and Jason Antill who has recently re-joined the club in the Sunbeam fleet, entered The PropSail Sailing Regatta hosted at The Royal London Yacht Club, Cowes. It was a very competitive fleet of property professionals with a mixture of weather conditions with a spring tide in the Solent.  The regatta was split into two classes of boats provided by the Royal Thames Yacht

  • Saturday Club Racing Cancelled

    Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow the decision has been made not to run any regular organised Club Racing.   Day 1 of the Swallow Nationals has be postponed to Sunday with AP over Alpha over Bravo being displayed at the Club.   The Clubhouse will still be open as usual but with a reduced lunch offering.

    Flotilla of Lifeboats in the Solent to celebrate RNLI 200

    A Flotilla of lifeboats will travel along the coast between Portsmouth, Hayling Island and Selsey, and across to the Isle of Wight, to mark the 200 year anniversary of the RNLI. Hayling Lifeboats will be joined by Selseys Shannon, Portsmouths Atlantic 85 and D Class (for some of the trip), as well as the Tamar from Bembridge.  The boats will assemble at 10:45 in Fishery Creek, near Hayling Island Sailing Club, departing

    The Chichester Harbour Conservancy has just published their 2024 Harbour Users Survey: This survey is for anyone with an interest in Chichester Harbour. We last undertook this survey in 2018, when over 1,000 people took part. Your views are important to us and we will use the results to shape how Chichester Harbour is managed into the future.     Sir Henry Chisholm Trophy

    Very many congratulations to Martin and Vicky on winning the Sir Henry Chisholm Trophy in Holly with two race wins.  Congratulations also to Joe and Cathy in Fleury, and to David and Alice in Odyssey, on each of their race wins.     Pippa Shepherd - IOCA International Optimist Class Association Selections

    Pippa Shepherd took part in the IOCA International Optimist Class Association Selections over the Bank Holiday weekend.  The 76 Top ranked GBR sailors took part in the event held at Weymouth. Over 4 days and a series of 10 races. Pippa came 3rd over all and 1st Girl, making the GBR Worlds Optimist Sailing Team being held at Mar Del Plat in Argentina in December along with taking part as a team at the
