    Itchenor Rowers at La Traversée de Paris

    Itchenor members Sarah Fisk, Sophie Pudney, Clare Hantrais, Lucy Clifford Bowles and Sarah Heber rowed 28k along the Seine on Sunday as part of the Traversée de Paris event in which over 200 boats rowed from Boulogne-Billancourt around Notre Dame,on the Isle de la Cité and back.     2024 Mirror National Championship

    Itchenor last hosted the Mirror nationals in 2016. Up one of the rivers leading to Chichester harbour, the club provides a great venue to test the skills of the national fleet.     Chichester Harbour Race Week 2024 Report 19th to 23rd August

    As Chichester Harbour Race Week 2024 reached its last-day climax, there was still all to sail for in many of the 20 different fleets competing. The family-friendly yet highly competitive regatta - England's largest and celebrating its 60th edition this year - attracted 383 entries, from Optimists for the youngest sailors to Finns, Flying Fifteens, Hadron H2s, RS Elites and a multitude of other classic and modern designs for their elders.     XOD racing at Poole Week 2024

    Four Itchenor XOD boats boldly beamed themselves over to Parkstone where they encountered a far flung galaxy of XOD sailors. Some things were exactly the same, but others oddly different. The XODs were moored alongside in pontoon berths, you simply stepped onboard - no fearful scrambling off a club rib.     2nd Place for Itchenor Sailor at Sonata National Championship 2024

    The Sonata National Championship 2024 has been won convincingly by Joe Cross sailing Duette from Poole YC. This was just not another Nationals win for Joe Cross but also for Duette which first won the Nationals in 1981. Counting six first places and a result never lower than third, meant that Duette was twenty-eight points clear of Ollie Smyth on Joey from Itchenor SC in second place.

    23/24 Transit Committee

    We are grateful to the 23/24 Transit Committee — Archie, Allegra, Arabella, Bas, Georgie, Jack B, Jack H, and Max — for their contributions throughout the year, especially during Junior Fortnight. The teams enthusiasm and organization have made this years socials memorable for the juniors, and their perspectives on youth sailing have been very helpful to the club.
