RS Aero Open 18th October
A 20-boat Aero fleet from 7 clubs competed on handicap in the Itchenor channel in winds averaging 12 knots but gusting 20. A start line was set near Baker and the southerly wind direction called for a beat across the channel. A right-handed triangle was set, with a tight first reach and broad second. Lark open meeting at Itchenor Sailing Club
The weekend of the 11th & 12th of October saw the Lark class descend on Itchenor once again for their annual open meeting. With the light wind forecast for the Saturday the race team sensibly decided to postpone the start and aim for a maximum of two races with four races on the Sunday when the forecast was more favourable.
