Club Boat Hire
Our Club Share events are tailored for those who want to enjoy being out on the water in a relaxed atmosphere without the challenges of serious competitive racing. Whether you want to learn to sail or do a bit of fun racing, we have it covered.
What's more there is no need to own your own boat, we have an RS 2000 that Members can use.
With dinghy training available from experienced RYA instructors, you can also take part in a range of social activities including cruising, beach picnics and regattas. Here at Itchenor we have access to sailing water at all states of the tide, which means you can get out and enjoy the harbour anytime of the day.
You are also welcome to visit the Club by prior arrangement to be shown around the facilities and meet the team.

10.0 One To One Coaching
10.1 Principles
- The Clubs primary training offer will consist of RYA Training Courses.
- Where this does not meet members needs ISC may offer one-to-one coaching using the Club Register of Senior Instructors and Dinghy Instructors. These are the approved instructors.
- One-to-one coaching is for members.
10.2 Instruction
- All Instructors are reminded that RYA tuition may only take place from ISCs premises or using ISCs equipment with the permission of the Principal or Chief Instructor, and in their absence the GM
- Any private boat used for one-to-one coaching must conform to the specification in the RYA Recognition Guidance Notes.
10.3 Procedure
- A list of approved Instructors for one-to-one coaching can be found in the Instructors Qualification file, located in the office.
- Any one-to-one coaching taking place at ISC must be booked through the ISC Office and paid for at the time of booking.
- The office will be responsible for finding and booking an approved instructor.
- The booking will generate income for the Club which will be used to pay the Instructor and cover the hiring of any club boats.
- The Instructor will submit a claim form in the usual manner; payment to be approved by the Office, subject to the usual authorisation.
- If a club owned sailing dinghy is required for one-to-one coaching this must be checked with the office, before an instructor is booked.
- If a RIB is required to support one-to-one coaching, this must be booked and paid for via the SM. Priority will always be given to support ISCs Racing Programme first and then Club Training Courses ahead of one-to-one coaching; safety boats are unlikely to be available at weekends.
- If a non ISC owned boat is used to provide a teaching platform or safety or rescue cover, it must conform to the requirements listed in the RYA Recognition Guidance Notes.
- Normal Operating Procedures for Training will apply to all one-to-one coaching bookings including the completion of Session Plans.
- Bookings must be 7 days in advance to allow an approved Instructor to be found.
How it all works
- Enquire with a member of our Sailing Team. Let them know if you are a beginner or an existing sailor (both are welcome)
- Book your boat with a member of our Sailing Team. Morning, afternoon and all-day slots are available.
