RYA Basic First Aid
Our one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.
This is the recommended course for those looking to gain any RYA Instructor Qualification or help out with any ISC event.

Powerboat Level 2
This course provides the skills and background knowledge required by a competent powerboat driver and is the basis for the International Certificate of Competence.
It includes boat handling, close quarters handling, leaving and coming alongside, high speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and collision regulations.
This course is a prerequisite for members wishing to be included on our paid support drivers list. Minimum age 12. Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsement.

ISC Safety Boat Skills & PB2 Accreditation - Members only
This is in house training that has been designed to help and refine powerboat drivers rescuing skills. The layout of the day will be 90% practical 10% theory, with the aim for you to practice the rescues as much as possible.
It covers: Boat handling (pontoon leaving and returning); rib placement (racing and training); casualty recovery (drift down/head up methods); righting capsized and total inversion dinghies; recovery of boats stuck on the mud and keelboat recovery (theory only).
