Great British Spring Clean Litter Pick UPDATE

I'm thrilled to report that our recent participation in the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean was a resounding success! Last weekend, we joined forces with other Chichester Harbour Sailing Clubs and organizations for a pan-harbour litter pick event organized by the CHF Environment Group and the Final Straw Foundation.

With 15 kids and adults, our collective effort made a significant impact. While we were pleased to find not as much litter as expected, our dedicated team managed to fill approximately 8 large black sacks. Based on our estimations, each bag weighed about 5 kilograms, totalling around 40 to 50 kilograms of litter collected!

This accomplishment reflects our commitment to preserving the beauty of Chichester Harbour and demonstrates the positive impact we can make when we come together as a community.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who participated in the litter pick event and to Harriet Patterson, the Clubs environmental lead for organising the event alongside Sophie Pudney, our previous environmental lead, who led the day. Everyone's enthusiasm and dedication is truly commendable. Let's continue to work together to keep our environment clean and pristine for generations to come.
