Rowing Dinner

Published 08:57 on 4 Apr 2025

The rowing dinner on Friday, 21 March, was well attended with international oarsman Peter Haining and Mike Gilbert of the Coastal Rowing Academy as guests. Tributes were paid to outgoing Rowing Captain Chris Blevins by his successor Jeremy Thompson, the Commodore, Peter and Mike for the tremendous work he has done in developing and establishing coastal rowing not only at ISC but also in the 3 Harbours area, namely Chichester, Langstone and Portsmouth.  Chris was presented with a certificate from the 3 Harbours Rowing Network and an inscribed blade from the rowing members at ISC.  The blade is of particular interest as it is one of the original set of oars made for the film The Boys in the Boat.  Clare was given flowers as a very small symbol of appreciation for all her support and assistance.

Many thanks to Danny and the house staff for a delicious meal and a wonderful evening
